4 Days Until The Expected Due Date

Dear Adelle, you are due in four days. We are so overjoyed! We look forward to the day you will get here. Mommy gets to enjoy your presence in my womb until then. I have loved being pregnant with you. I love caring for you and knowing that God was forming you daily and he knew your inmost being. Your daddy is so excited to love and care for you as well as mommy. You have a good daddy and you will fall in love with him and he with you. We are so thankful for you and so many things in our lives. We will share with you always the things to be thankful for because God is so good. One of the proofs is you. Your aunties and uncles are so excited for you, Adelle. They could explode with the joy they have. :)

With love,
Mommy and Daddy

Week 38 Letter to our Sweet Adelle

Dear Adelle, You are two weeks away from your due date. Mommy has an appointment with Dr. McCallum today. We are excited to meet you; your dad and I talk about you all the time. We think about you everyday. How exciting that you are so loved and you are peoples' minds, hearts, and in their prayers. We are wondering what size you will be, what length, what color hair you have, and so on. We have been hanging out with family and friends lately. You will get to meet some older kids and you will like them, like Alistar, Phineas, Layla, and Asah. Mommy goes swimming a lot; you will get to do that too. :) So, less than two weeks to the due date (more like 1 week and 5 days) but I acknowledge you may want to hang out in the womb for much longer. You enjoy yourself! We love you!

Hi Adelle, you are running out of room in mommy's belly. I love you and daddy does too. We love you and look forward to seeing you when you choose to get here. We hope you want to come a few days early. You were moving a lot today--I think you know you need more room. I am excited to rest and relax before you get here. Letter to Baby at 35 Weeks

To our sweet princess, Adelle,
I am writing you this letter on behalf your dad and I at the end of 35 weeks. We are so blessed with you as our special gift. We want to let you know how blessed you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and we want you know grow up and know that full well just like the scriptures. We are overwhelmed with love for you. You are getting bigger and bigger and we love feeling you move. Mommy is teaching an ESL camp in the mornings from July 11th to July 22nd and the children from Taiwan are so happy to know you are going to be in this world. Mommy has had dreams where you were pushing against my belly so hard, I could see your hand print and foot print; also, I had a dream you were ready to come out and you stuck your hand out--please stick your head out first. :)Daddy got a gift from a lady we will called Great-Grandma Georgia; she painted a piece in 2005 but it's of a woman holding her baby girl and she says it's "Sudea and Adelle." You are so blessed and so loved. Your dad and I are so blessed and so loved and we thank God for every good and perfect gift that comes from Him.

*Love, Daddy and Mommy

Letter to Baby at 34 Weeks

Dear Adelle, you are 34 weeks now and though you are just anywhere from 4.5 to 5.5 lbs you are a big baby for a little mama like me. Your dad and I are so excited that in about 6 weeks we will meet you and get to love you all the time. We will get to house sit for the Castros and then we will be closer and closer to your expected arrival date. They live off the river, so your dad and I will get to have picnics and I will get to dip my feet it--it's probably too cold to keep my feet in the river. We are awaiting a stroller and a rocking chair before you come to complete your gear and room. We can't believe we get to be your mom and dad! What a blessing you already are to us and our friends and family!

Letter to Baby at 33 Weeks

Dear Baby A,
We had four baby showers from friends and family; you are so loved. We have your room set up except for that wonderful rocking chair. We are thinking about you everyday. Friends and family think about you, too. I found out that you have far away visitors after you are born--that is if you get here early or on time. Your dad and I are so amazed how you are loved and how we are loved. You have been playing a lot this week; a little bit last week you decided to get up around 3AM and played for four hours for two days. I know you are getting momma ready for when you get out and are in our arms. We love you and hope that you have fun growing and being super cute. We will write you next week. You will be at 34 weeks and only 6 weeks left. Just so you know, you can come a little early! :)

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Letter to Baby at 32 Weeks

Dear Baby A, we so excited that the weeks keep cutting down closer and closer to your due date. I sure hope you come one time as to what is estimated. Just so you know, I tear up when I think about bringing you home. I think about how sweet it will be when your daddy and your grandma give you your first bath. You are so precious and so dearly loved. I pray that when you grow older into a teenager you will love because you were first loved. God has blessed your dad and I with you. We are so loved, too! I wanted to tell you about your grandpa today; we (grandma, your daddy, uncle Lucas, and I) treated him real special today. Your dad also got gifts from grandma. We are so happy to be your parents already. Keep on eating and growing baby girl. You have great people in your life, baby girl. We shall see you in about 8 weeks! Today marks 55 days left.

Letter to Baby at 31 Weeks

Dear Baby A, we are so excited to meet you. I know I say it all the time, but we are! We have no other feelings than joy, excitement, goodness, etc. Today marks 60 days until you get here if you are on schedule. We're okay if you come a few days early or a week or two early! We had a baby shower that Aunt Susan and Aunt Jovie or Ohm Susan and Ohm Jovie threw for us. You have a lot of stuff already, baby! We have your crib set up; so you will be ready for sleep! We also have your bassinet, blankets and co-sleeper close to ready. We have a few more baby showers and a few things to move around before you get here! I wanted to tell you that you love dancing in my belly and I can't wait to see that fun dancing you do when you're in my arms or your dad's arms. As I am writing you this letter you are so excited. You're dancing a lot. I love it; your daddy loves it when you are playing and he's talking to you or praying at night. We smile when we think about you.

Letter to Baby at 30 Weeks

Dear Baby A, you are growing so much. I wish I could show you how my belly moves when you move in it. One day, I get to hold you, my little wiggle worm. We notice that you enjoy your dad's voice and move a whole lot when he talks. I love seeing you move to him talking to you. Today, we got a free movie and watched it today. Also, I registered for some dresses for you. Your dad, your grandpa, and I went to Costco today. Grandpa bought us some dinner. I got some cleaning done around the house today in your room. We will have to take some time in the next few weeks to clean your room and get ready for you! The weather has been nice for you and I lately, but I think it will be very warm in the next few days. Love, Momma and Dadda

10 Weeks Left

For those who know me, you know I am very excited to have this baby. Clay and I are very very excited! Yes, double positives (is that possible?). For the weeks to come, I have listed two to three goals I will accomplish or think of so I can get focus, complete some tasks, and be distracted from the wait of baby A.

1) June 4th: relax as much as I can, work M, T, Th morning and F night, and recycle E-waste
2) June 11th: drive to Fresno, baby shower, travel, hang out with family, shred papers and create tabs, folders and organize documents
3) June 18th: baby shower #2, clear baby A's closet, donate all unwanted clothes, make a list of "freezer meals" for after labor and delivery
4) June 25th: make a list of chores and things to help with, baby shower #3 and #4, organize things, sort appliances, furniture, gear,
5) July 2nd: sell big items around the house, update listings
6) July 9th: relax, naps, lots of walking 5-10 miles this week
7) July 16th: wash baby's clothes, pack for hospital, make lists with Clay, walk 5-10 miles this week
8) July 23rd: keep mom and baby bag in downstairs closet, walk 10-12 miles this week
9) July 30th: last week of work for Respite and NCR, walk 12-15 miles this week
10) August 6th: relax, facials, massages, manicure and pedicure, walk 12-15 miles this week
11) August 13th: baby here yet? repeat week of August 6th

Letter to Baby at 29 Weeks

Hi Baby A, We forgot to write you during week 28! We're sorry, and we know you won't really mind. Welcome to week 29! Can you believe that in a few days you will be 30 weeks along and we'll be at your next appointment? I am so excited because that means 10 more weeks and the world is sure waiting for you, my sweetie. Some things we did since 27 weeks: we went camping (Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday daytime only) on the 27t, 28th, 29th. Your daddy, Uncle Steve-o, and mommy found our "golden nugget" to bring you and friends to during the warm summers. You will love it. We let you listen to lots of Mozart and also sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Most nights your daddy reads you "Goodnight Moon." He started replacing "moon" with your name. We have been getting little things here and there for your room. You will love it. Today, mommy's friend named Jennifer gave you a mobile to hang above your crib. You will love looking at it. Well, we will write you again at 30 weeks.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Letter to Baby at 27 Weeks

Dear Baby A, Your dad and I are so excited to have you join us in less than 90 days. I love reading about your development. I bought an exercise ball so I can sit and get my muscles relaxed. We have one more class left to learn about prepping to bring you in this world. Your grandpa will be giving you a cute outfit that grandma help pick out. You are going to be 28 weeks on Saturday and you will be 7 months old in the womb. The weather has not been warm enough, but soon we will go swimming. I am so excited. I am pretty tough mama because I can handle the heat and the cold. I won't stay in because I need to be out; I will take good care of you while you're in my womb. I will write you again next week. Love, your momma and daddy

Letter to Baby at 25 Weeks

Dear Baby A,
I wanted to tell you how much I love you. Both your dad and I love you so much. One source says you are figuring out equilibrium. You seem to like being on my right side and I can feel you. I am amazed at how God designed you and I. I know you but not the way our heavenly Father knows you. He knows what your fingerprints look like, the number of hairs on your head, when you smile and when you grimace. He knows why you kick and why you roll. I just wanted to say "Happy 25 Weeks." I tear up so much at baby stories and children stuff--I can't wait to meet you. :)

Letter to Baby at 24 Weeks

Dear Baby,
We went to two classes today. One was at Lifelight where we watched about the life of a newborn and the next was a childbirth preparation class. You are kicking me now as I am writing you this letter. I enjoyed preparing for labor by learning relaxation techniques and preparing for relaxing through labor. I can't wait to talk with your daddy about the things we look forward to the most as we're preparing those last few hours to bring you into the world. We know you are fearfully and wonderfully made. God has you in the palm of His hands.

Remembering To Live One Day At A Time

On our drive home tonight I was reminded to live one day at a time. The reason being is baby is coming August, but I don't think I should spend so much time thinking of the future when we're in the month of April. I don't want to forget what happened in April, May, June or July just because I was so anxious for baby to be here. I am allowing myself to spend some time planning. I am good with some planning but not an obsession over the future. Things I look forward to in each month are the following:
APRIL: walks on Fridays when the weather is nice with my friend, Sarah. Playing with the kids at school and at church. Taking parenting classes and childbirth prep classes.
MAY: Matt and Rachel's wedding, camping, and making it to 3rd trimester.
JUNE: end of the school year, baby showers, swimming and embracing the welcome of summer.
JULY: 4th of July, swimming, lake days, travels, rest.
AUGUST: baby time!

Ten Things I Will Do With My Baby

I look forward to so much joy and adventures with my little girl. I look forward to capturing the moments and cherishing the memories. I look forward to the blessings, the laughter, the tears, and all the glory to our Heavenly Father. In our lives, may He be glorified and may we love because He first loved us. :)

As I am sitting here resting, I think of the things I look forward to the most on a cool, cloudy day or warm, sunny day:
1) picnics by the lake
2) walks at the McConnell
3) Watching Tom and Jerry
4) Lunch dates with mommy and daddy
5) Flying kites
6) Dancing with baby
7) Swimming
8) Napping under the sun (with some shade to prevent burns and too much exposure to UV rays)
9) Singing, dancing, clapping, and being silly
10) Hikes to Burney or Whiskeytown Falls
